1. Stone chip seal
The stone chip seal is the earliest preventive maintenance technology. Its construction method is to spray a layer of asphalt material (hot asphalt, light asphalt, emulsified asphalt, etc.) on the road surface, followed by sand, stone chips or appropriately graded. Aggregate, followed by rolling. The stone chip seal is a simple, easy and inexpensive maintenance method for laying. Its disadvantage is that it requires a long initial maintenance time, the noise is too loud when the car is running at high speed, and the loose aggregate on the road will be taken out by the high-speed wheels and hit and stick to the body and windshield. The loss of material will also lead to the attenuation of skid resistance, so it is generally rarely used on roads with large traffic flow and high-speed driving.

2. Slurry sealing layer (micro-surface sealing layer)

The slurry seal is a slurry-like mixture composed of emulsified asphalt, crushed aggregate, mineral powder, water and additives. After it is evenly stirred, it is spread on the original asphalt pavement to form a uniform curing layer that is firmly bonded to the original pavement and has an anti-wear surface structure. The micro-surface seal layer is developed on the basis of the emulsified asphalt slurry seal layer. It is composed of slow-crack and fast-setting polymer modified emulsified asphalt, 100% crushed aggregate, mineral powder, water and additives. Slurry mix. The thickness of the micro-surface sealing layer can reach 10mm to 15mm. The anti-slip resistance and anti-wear durability are also better than ordinary slurry seals, and can have some repairing functions. For example, it is used for correction of ruts, mild looseness, oil spills and other diseases. Slurry seals are especially micro-surface seals. Due to its good anti-skid performance, rapid solidification and early open traffic characteristics, spraying and rolling processes are omitted, and one machine can operate continuously. Due to its simple construction process and high production efficiency, it is more suitable for roads with large traffic flow and high-speed driving.
